Edward Coffrini Dell’Orto, grandson of carburetor genius Luigi Dell’Orto, is the owner of the
Admiral Hotel in Milan. Known to all as “the Admiral,” he has a passion for cars, sports, art, and
cinema. In fact, his hotel features a one-of-a-kind collection inspired by all the James Bond films.
His connection to Ian Fleming’s iconic character is unmatched — so much so that he founded the
007 Admiral Club, the only one in Italy dedicated to the world’s most famous British secret agent.
Edward even appears in the film Casino Royale as an extra, playing the doctor in the scene set at
Villa del Balbianello.
But above all, the Admiral is an affable host. His hotel regularly welcomes top figures from the
worlds of sports, film, politics, and entertainment — many of whom have become close personal
friends over the years.
Thanks to his vision, the hotel boasts a 4-star rating, a unique “Carburetors Bar” with family
heirlooms hanging from the ceiling, various themed corners dedicated to motorsports and cinema,
and above all, 60 themed rooms designed by the creative mind of architect Jumbo.
Edward is also known for his generous spirit and long-standing commitment to social causes and
charity events. During the pandemic, he was among the very few hoteliers to keep his doors open,
offering accommodation to medical staff during the lockdown.
In short, a true gentleman.
The Admiral Hotel also hosted NowNotNow Magazine for the fashion editorial “Racer Lover.”
